(Bangkok Post photo)The royal cremation ceremony for the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej is scheduled for Oct 25-29 with the actual royal cremation on Thursday Oct 26, which has been declared a public holiday. Government spokesman Lt Gen Sansern Kaewkammnerd said the cabinet had acknowledged the five-day ceremony and approved Oct 26 as a public holiday to allow the people to take part. The cabinet also acknowledged that a post-royal cremation exhibition is planned from Nov 1-30 this year, to be organised by the Culture Ministry. The public are allowed to pay respect before the royal urn at the Dusit Maha Prasat Throne Hall inside the Grand Palace. The Royal Household Bureau reported that a total of 6.39 million people had done so, as of Sunday, April 23.
